Good Evening!

It has been quite a hiatus.  Apologies as I have had a thousand educational topics to discuss and no time for discussion.  We have so many great and wonderful things going on in the store that real life is full to over flowing.

On the up side:  the year has been filled with dreams coming true on a weekly basis.  It's so exciting, fulfilling, and emotionally rewarding to make those dreams come true.  We have laughed and cried those tears of joy. Although it has not been without challenges and a struggle or two along the way, we have found solutions. Solutions which our dreamers liked better than the original choices.

Our bridesmaids lines are really amazing for the spring 2015 collections.
New colors have been added in the ocean blues and coral shades, which have been so popular.
New maternity styles that have been added to both our bridal and bridesmaids collections.
Which reminds me, I really do need to do that blog on maternity bridesmaids and how to handle that.
Select styles are now available all the way to a size 36!  There is an extra charge, but this is GREAT cost saving news for those clients.
Most of our designers are now allowing fabric changes on the majority of their gowns.
Most of our designers will cut the gowns in various lengths:  Knee, tea and floor.

Please remember that China closes for most of the month of January.  We strongly recommend that anyone having a wedding before August order their gowns before December 25th.  Many people are unfamiliar with this custom and how it affects our entire industry.  For many years we recommended that a bride have all of her orders placed six months before the wedding.  While many things have sped up through the years:  some things have not changed significantly.

We have been recommending that the bride have all of her special orders placed (this includes you mom of the wedding) nine full months before the wedding.  You ask why? Having been in the industry for many decades, nearing half a century, we have seen many things.  We have seen embargo placed on incoming products, which left them sitting in shipping containers just off the coast, awaiting clearance to be issued a visa to enter the country.  Did you know that every single dress, veil or item that enters the country must pass customs and receive it's very own visa before being allowed into the country?

If you order your merchandise by the end of the year:  it will come in quite quickly.  If you wait until after the first of the year it will not come in for quite a long time, often delivery is pushed into May.  Part of this is due to China closing for their winter holiday.  The other part of the quotient is that Christmas is peak engagement season, bringing an abundance of brides and maids ordering their gowns.  And the final part is that many people think that they will wait until after the holidays to place their orders, so that they have more to spend on the holidays.

Unfortunately, waiting is often a recipe for added stress.  We here at Bella Sposa Bridal & Prom work hard to keep your stress levels down, in turn, this keeps our stress levels down.  Low stress is a good thing.

Have a great day and remember:  we love to hear from you!
