If you didn't know before now: I have a special place in my heart for women and children, especially infants. Now you know!! Through the years it's been my mission to help them in the good times and the bad.
We have been accepting gown donations to benefit NICU Angel Babies program. The donated gowns are up purposed to use for burial gowns for Angels called home soon after birth. It's a loss that I can not imagine bearing as a mother. My heart goes out to the families.
Through this we hope to lift them up a tiny bit, helping them find hope in the future. Working with the public for 49 years it's been something that I have seen as people are devastated by this loss. Watching how different people deal differently with their recovery is enlightening.
Now I am in my twilight years of working with brides. We have been blessed with an area big enough to store these donation gowns. When I try to do this by myself I end in a puddle of tears mourning for the loss of the unknown children and their parents pain. To offset that I am inviting others to share in the giving of time to uplift the community in this small way.
So if you know a seamstress, of any caliber, please share this! Please get the word out. It's the plan to have an evening of laughter as we sew with love for little Angels. So beginner or advanced, come one, come all, let's share our love for sewing in a gift of love for others.
